My Bad!

Today in class I talked to the kids about their money. I mentioned that if they make positive choices they will have no problem having enough to participate in all offered incentives. Today I was able to collect all the money for the Valentine's Day Participation except three students. That is awesome! $500.00 in one month! Here is where I went wrong...I lowered the price for the end of the year field trip. After doing this and reflected upon it...I realized No! I set the price at $3000.00 and that is my expectation. I thought long and hard on that decision over Winter Break and I need to stick with that. I know the kids that deserve to go will meet that expectation and then some. So, I am taking back my deal and sticking to my original plan. I will break the news to the kids tomorrow and the why to my decision, if they haven't already read this before then that is. Thanks for your understanding and I apologize for looking into their sad puppy dog eyes and giving in for a moment. :0)
