Well, the cat is out of the bag. We are going to Bozeman for our end of the year field trip. We will be going to the planetarium and through Dinosaur hall. This will be a perfect tie in with our solar system and constellation units we have already studied. Now, it will all come to life! Permission slips went home today and are due back by Friday. Students also brought home a paper stating their position in their fake money for the trip. Remember, they must have $3000.00 by the time we board the bus that Friday. If they do not they will NOT be going. Instead they will be at Bitterroot taking a virtual tour and writing a report on what they see or some alternate assignment. I do hope that ALL students are able to go, but I will stick to my terms. Thank you for your support on this issue. Also, thanks to Mr. and Mrs. Davis and Ms. Green for volunteering to chaperone. :0)
Volunteer Opportunity sheets also went home today. Please return those or bring them with on Saturday. We will be meeting at Lake Elmo, near the playground, from 9-12. If you are dropping your child off please make sure you are there to pick them up at 11:45 sharp. Thanks.
Today is Earth Day! If your child goes out and collects garbage to clean up our Earth please write a note in their planner for a reward of $50.00 tomorrow. Also, I gave them an opportunity to earn up to $300.00 in Social Studies class today. They MUST explain to you what they did and obtain your signature in the correct places to receive their reward.
