Monday's Happenings!

Well only one Monday left after today. Can you believe it? Coming home with your child today is a permission slip for the end of the year activities. The lunch bike trip will be on Wednesday, June 3rd. It was originally planned for Thursday the 4th but we just have to much going on that day with Awards assemblies and final bug club. PLEASE make sure that your child's bike and helmet are working now instead of the day before. I do have access to a few spare bikes and helmets but not many. If your child needs one or the other or both let me know ASAP. All parents are invited to join the bike trip. We will be leaving Bitterroot after PE at 11:00. We will eat lunch and play at Hawthorne Park. We will return by 2 for our final music classes. This field trip will cost students $1000.00 to attend, fake money that is. On this slip there is also a permission slip for your child to view the movie Miracle. It is by far my favorite movie on the planet. IT is totally responsible for my love of the word BELIEVE. This movie will also have a $500.00 price tag on it. Popcorn and drink are an extra $300. Students may NOT bring their own drink or snack. If students are unable to pay this amount an alternative placement will be given to them for that time period. Make sure to get those planners signed daily and encourage them to make positive choices every day! This is the time of year where it is easy to choose outside over homework. Incomplete homework or missing assignments in my class cost students $50.oo each time. Talking in class is $100.00 each time. These are the fastest ways to lose money. I will not be offering as many quick earns on the blog because kids should have the money by now if they have made the right choices thus far. Now it is up to them to just hang onto it. Friendly reminders from you on the way out the door will help. Lastly, students will be participating in the 3rd annual Wiffle Ball Tournament for the intermediate grades. I organize and head up this event so you can bet it is ALL about character. Watch for those reflection rubrics coming home daily during the last week of school. Have a discussion about an area that your child needs to work on before the next game and celebrate traits they do well! We will have one to two games daily for the entire last week. There is NO fake money cost to students to participate in this tournament. Everyone needs this type of education!! Have an outstanding night and go outside and play! Adults too!!!! :0)
