Well the fifth graders were locked up today, and they all had time to think in a real life cell. I was VERY impressed with the tour and the information was presented in a way that made your child's eyes grow wide. Jail is not a fun place, and I believe every child understood that concept upon leaving. Thanks again to our three chaperones. I couldn't have done it without you!
The survey below is for a technology lesson Miss. Burns is doing with the class tomorrow. Please do not take the survey, or allow students to take it until tomorrow in class. It is linked to a data base, and extra data will mess it up. Also, please do not discuss the content in the survey, as it is a pretest to see what they already know.
Science Projects/Research on the concept of gravity are due the 14th. Students will be checking in with me on their progress this week. Last time we checked in, a lot of students had yet to start their projects. I hope for better results this time. If you have not seen your child working on these, please ask to see their rubric and help them to get going. All reasearch/projects need to be completed outside of class. Again, these are due on the 14th.
We are ready for the Election Bake Sale tomorrow. Thanks to all those who sent in their items today. If students did not get to bake over the weekend, goods are still needed for the afternoon bake sale. Many students raised their hands when asked if they were bringing in the treats tomorrw. Yay! The more we make, the farther away from Billings we can go...like say to Bozeman??? Students may also bring their 50 cents to buy goods tomorrow as well.
Lastly, please vote. After voting, talk to your child about the experience. They are so curious as to how their world works. :0)
