Happenings in Room 7

Hello! As you may know by now we performed a play called, Commotion in the Ocean, today for our first grade buddies and a third grade class. The assignment for us was to understand that putting  a voice to an author's words helps us to understand the text even more. We have been reading a lot of funny dialogue in our Bernie book and changing voices makes it even more fun. I tried to put it on the blog, but I am experiencing technical difficulties. :0) I will get it figured out though soon!

Just a couple of reminders. Students need to bring back their permission slips for Mr. Ness. He will be doing a talk on Aids/HIV in health class. If your child hasn't brought it back already, please do so soon. They should have went home last night. Mr. Ashcraft also visited today with the class about becoming Conflict Managers. There is an application and it is due tomorrow before school ends. The more thought put into these applications betters their chance to be one of the twenty selected. Conflict managers help primary students solve basic problems that happen on the lunch playground. They also become good friends with the little kids, and role models for them to look up to. Nice handwriting is also a plus and shows that they are a serious candidate for the job.

Have a great night, and see you tomorrow!
