Oops!

So, I got on our blog to the US soldiers today only to find out that I had posted the blog from yesterday to that blog instead of this one. Too funny! Anyway...I had stated how very impressed and touched I was with the presentation yesterday. It was so inspiring for me to see the kids share their work with you. I love the interaction between parents and their children. I was also encouraged by the many comments I received from parents on their way out and in emails after the presentation had ended. Your comments mean a lot to the kids, but they also mean a lot to me. I was serious when I said that this kind of teaching is new and uncomfortable for me, but it is the way this generation learns. Therefore, I need to become comfortable in order to provide them with the education they deserve and that you want for them. The most amazing thing for me when viewing the different projects was how different every single child in this class has a different vision than all the rest. The creativity blew me away. Mr. Senitte also had nothing but positive feedback as well. He came to the presentation as a parent not a principal and he could tell how much the kids had learned in a way that was never an option to most of us.  A big thank you to those that came early to help me set up and do all the transitions in between project phases. I could not have done it without you!

I have sent home a reminder of the supplies students will need for next Tuesday's Polar Express day. Please try to collect those items over the cold weekend and have students bring them in whenever they can.

Thank you in advance to all of those who are planning to attend the December Volunteer Opportunity at Eagle Cliffs Manor tomorrow. I will see you there at 1:30. Please pick up children promptly at 3:00 as I have another function I need to attend later.

Lastly, I am so appreciative of this class and all their parents. You guys all rock! The support and constant communication we have encourages me to be and do my very best as an educator. I have created an entire file of "Happy" Emails that I receive from you all and read them often at the start of my day. You inspire me, and I am so glad that you are a part of my life.

Have a Wonderful Winter Weekend! Get out there and be kids again! Make a snow angel!
