Hi everyone. Boy, was it great to be back and into the routine again. We were back to business as usual. Long division is progressing nicely. I am proud of the effort all kids are putting into it. I keep reminding them however, that without their basic multiplication facts memorized, it will continue to challenge some. Fractions are up next, which also require quick multiplication and division. Just gotta learn them! How are the Native American Projects coming along? I hope that kids are working on them at home, and not waiting until the last minute. We are going to start to create out Power Point presentations tomorrow afternoon. We will also begin to scan in our comic strips and then record our voice into them. Wow!! I am excited to see how the end result! Fun!
We welcomed a new student today from Broadwater Elementary. He is very nice, and very respectful. We will be meeting another new student tomorrow from Boulder Elementary. She will be a welcome addition to our class of mostly boys. You know me, the more the merrier!
I also wanted to say thank you for those of you that have been sending in your lost treasures. These found items will be great for out Christmas store. If you still are searching for items to donate to our class store, please feel free to have the kids bring them in. We are in need of items for younger siblings at this time. A special thank you to the family that won't stop bringing the items in! :0) You know who you are! I so appreciate all of the help with this. Kids love to buy presents for their family for Christmas with their fake money. You make that possible.
Lastly, you may have noticed the blog got a new face-lift over the holiday break. I have added the weatherbug. The only problem is, it is set to say the weather in Hong Kong and not Billings. I do not know how to change that. If you do, let me know. You can however click on Hong Kong and then enter Billings's zip code for our weather. I added this feature so kids can check to see what type of clothes to wear to prepare for the weather. Coats, hats and gloves are needed on cold days to be aloud to go outside. Have a good one!
