Lions and Tigers and Bears Oh My!

What a day! Make sure and ask your child about their ecosystem project they did today. It was quite challenging and very fun, well to some. We also took our Ch. 10 Social Studies test. Can I encourage you to have your child tell you about their two favorite events that led to the Revolutionary War.

Today I shared with the class the different reward events that will be happening before they know it. They will need to have enough fake money to buy their way into each event. Here is the list.
End of the Year Bike Field Trip to Hawthorne Park for $1000.00, Field Day for $500.00, Miracle Movie for $300-Popcorn and soda for $200 extra, and Wiffle Ball tournament for $500.00. That is a total of $2500.00. Students may pay for the event the day before it occurs. If students can not pay for the event then they will sit out and watch or have an alternative assignment. I strongly suggest that students watch their behavior choices, get their planners signed daily, have work done on time, and do blog incentives. I will not go back on my word. No money no fun. Permission slips for bike trip and movie will come home soon. Please start to get those bikes out of storage and fix any flat tires before the last day of school. If your family has an extra bike that is safe and can be used by another student that may not have one please let me know. Students also MUST wear a helmet. Chaperones for bike trip are needed. We will be going the Thursday before school is out from about 9:30 to 1:30. Watch for more details to come. Still thinking about the skateboard option. Hmmmm...

Blog Incentive: $100.00, Practice your spelling words with a parent and have them write the word spelling in your planner by their signature.
